From beginners to the old heads, DJs had almost always encountered trouble when releasing their remixes due to needed clearance for songs. Dubset is looking forward to make this a whole lot easier with the release of their API.
With this tool, remixers and DJs will be able to clear and distribute their mixes. How this works is, after an artist creates a mix, the content will be submitted via the API. The API will then run it through Dubset’s proprietary MixBANK technology, which will do the work in clearing the songs. Upon clearance, the output can then be sent directly to music streaming services.
Dubset has also revealed that the new API is already being utilized by several DJ hardware and software companies, including SoundCloud. With these developments, hopes are up that electronic music will be more accessible and fruitful for both DJs and listeners.
